About Ganesh Chaturthi
Ganesh Chaturthi is an auspicious Hindu festival, which is celebrated on the fourth day of Krishna Paksha. Lord Ganesha is the God who is known for his intelligence and an ability to remove all the difficulties from our lives. So it is considered a highly auspicious day. On this day the devotees observe fast, and they break the fast after seeing the moon followed by praying to Lord Ganesha.
Lord Ganesha is also known as "Vignaharta". So praying to Lord Ganesha is believed to remove all the obstacle in the lives. It is believed that if we observed a fast on this day, we will get all we wish.

- In India we, the followers need to get up early in the morning.We should take a bath and ware a new cloth before starting the prayer. After the moon is visible, the puja should be started. Fresh flowers are used for the decorations around the statue of Lord Ganesha. Ganga Jal, sandalwood past, rice, til, fresh flowers etc are offered to the Lord Ganesha and the moon.
